As the Vilna continues to grow and focus its resources, it is seeking a talented and results-oriented grant writer to support its work across all issue areas including programing, institutional support, and restoration/construction. Reporting to the Executive Director and working with senior staff and board members, this team player is responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. Additionally, this individual is accountable for building and maintaining strategic relationships and assisting in other organizational activities including community outreach and fundraising. Full, part-time, or job share opportunity. There is infrastructure and procedure for considerable work to be done remotely. Compensation and schedule negotiable.

  • Significant professional experience in grant writing.Three or more years preferred.
  • Previous experience with non-profit fundraising.
  • Highly developed project management skills, including a proven ability to manage time, handle pressure, and meet deadlines/goals.
  • Exceptional management and interpersonal skills as well as ability to develop relationships with individuals and organizational leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility, sense of humor, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a changing landscape.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Boston Jewish community preferable.
